Things that I currently like and/or enjoy...

Juno...I now own it and watched it again last night...there is really nothing I dislike about this movie...something about Micheal Cera's awkwardness makes me adore him...and Ellen Page is just too cool for words.

Everclear's new album...album of covers but i still dig it...Brown-Eyed Girl is quite possibly my favorite cover ever...go fig.

Stars Playoff Hockey...once you start watching you really can't stop still the game is over.
Dallas Stars Believe

Vanilla Coke...i don't like regular coke...but there's just something about vanilla that just makes ya feel good...and I think it tastes better in the can than in the bottle...yes i'm weird :)
VANILLA COKE

Jason Mraz...the other day I was asked: "If you had to have only one artist on your ipod (or whatever your music player may be) who who it be." I've thought about this for about a week and though a number of names came up...MRAZ is the one I landed on and would be quite content with.

Warm Weather...being that my game days are numbered...and I live in a cave for most of the day...my favorite thing to do after work will be to hang by the pool...being that there is NO beach in site.

Dancing with the Stars...Kristi Yamaguchi is freakin' amazing and Marissa Jaret Winokur makes me want to dance again...and again :)
Dancing with the Stars

Long Way Round...a couple years back I read this book and then watched the series and bought the DVD. Basically it's Ewan McGregor (there's something about that accent and that red hair that gets me everytime. ;) )and his buddy Charlie Boorman traveling from London to NYC...by way of Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Alaska, Canada, etc...on motorcycles...so amazing...doubt I could ever even think of doing this...but it does make you think...definitely a must read/watch if yo have the time.
Long Way Round

That's all I have for now.

*This is not a deep blog in anyway...and I was going to list things that I currently do not dig...but I'm in a pretty good mood today and I didn't feel like being negative :)

much love

Merriment, Defeat & Victory, Juanes etc

So this last week (or so) has been pretty packed...

This one of my favorite times of year...because I get to head down 35 to the magical land of Waxahachie, TX and spend the day at Scarborough Faire. This has been part of my annual doings for maybe 20 years now (thanks mom). In recent years I've headed there with some of the coolest people I work with (Mark, Blair, Jason, Casey, etc...). This year Stephanie got to join the fun. Was a beautiful day filled with merriment.

Tuesday I got to be an actual FAN at the Dallas Stars home playoff game. I convinced (rather bugged) an old friend from high school, Brian Wickowitz, to join me. He's a huge Stars fan and it also happened to be his birthday. Although we lost (hence the defeat in the title) playoff hockey is super exciting...to me anyways...and really since this is MY blog...that's kinda all that matters ;)

Wednesday was another long day that included the final regular season home game for the Mavs. We ended up smoking the New Orleans Hornets...this was not the case on Saturday's playoff game...against said Hornets.

Thursday was game 4 of round 1 for the Stars...and we came out victorious! (whoo hoo)...and Lord Stanley's Cup made it way to Dallas...yes I'm THAT short lol.
Friday...back at the AAC for Juanes!!! So most of you probably don't know this guy but he's pretty darn popular internationally in the Rock en Espanol community. He put on a great show...and as an added bonus...i felt super tall at this concert...you laugh but there's alot of latin girls out there in the area that are shorter than me. lol :)

After the show, I headed over to Garland and got to see most of my bros and sises...i always love seeing them. :)

Saturday...good day. Lunch with momma...Jason's 30th Birthday party in Euless. Good Times :)

Sunday night finally came!! Stars finish off the Ducks with a score of 4-1. I can't wait for round TWO! Haven't heard those words and Stars for quite awhile....it's a great feeling!

GO STARS and come on MAVS!!!!
